We start every engagement with a short written scope — what we believe the problem is, what we will deliver, what we will not do, and what success looks like. If we cannot write that in a page, we do not yet understand the problem well enough to start.
Engagements are fixed-scope sprints (one to four weeks) or retainers (ongoing). No open-ended hourly arrangements. No surprise invoices. If we are the wrong team for a piece, we say so and suggest who is not.
